The Library link remains closed until further notice.
Hallbankgate Library Link is now open. It is located in the cosy Stephenson’s Rocket Room accessible from the Café and offers a stock of several hundred books which can be borrowed or read at the Hub. Why not relax with a book and a cup of tea or coffee and a cake in one of our comfy chairs.
Customers can use the library self-service machine to borrow and return books; you only have to have a Cumbria Libraries membership card to borrow books. There is no charge for borrowing library books or for joining the library. The stock includes a range of popular fiction, non-fiction including biographies, and children’s books. New titles are regularly added to the stock.
Customers can use the Cumbria Libraries website to request books which are delivered to Hallbankgate Library Link. Requests can also be made in Carlisle Library/library branches or by telephone. New library customers can join online or by calling into the main library in Carlisle, or in any of the local branch libraries.
